Fees & Conditions
 

Minimum Charge

There is a $100 minimum charge for all trips.

Gratuity

There is a 20% gratuity charged on all trips.

Fuel

There is a 5% fuel surcharge on all trips.

Hourly Rates

All of our vehicles are available point-to-point or by the hour for a two hour minimum.

  • Executive Sedan $120/hour

  • Executive SUV $180/hour

 

All destinations greater than 40 miles outside of Boston are quoted at an hourly rate.  Final charges may vary due to increased traffic.​

Extra Stops

A $15 surcharge is applicable, per stop, to extra stops en route with 10 minutes or less waiting time.  Waiting time will be applied to stops of more than 10 minutes, after the initial 10 minutes.

Tolls

Clients are responsible for paying all tolls.  All rates are exclusive of any additional charges.  Tolls are not included in price.

Weather

During a declared snow emergency or any weather warning issued by the National Weather Service or local municipality, there is a $75 surcharge per trip or per hour on hourly rides.  During a weather advisory the stated charge is $40.

Waiting Time

  • Waiting time is charged per five-minute interval.

A. Executive Sedan $10

B. Executive SUV $15

Devoted Sedan Service is billed at a two hour minimum.  After the initial two hours, any fraction of an hour will be billed at a one-half hour wait.

  • Commonwealth Coach of Boston will wait 20 minutes after the scheduled pickup time.  Of which, the first 10 minutes are free.  Unless additional waiting time is authorized, the sedan will depart and the no-show charge will be applied, including a 10 minute wait charge.  Clients are urged to inform Commonwealth Coach of Boston of any changes as early as possible.

  • Logan Airport Pickups:  After the flight arrives, clients are given 40 minutes at Terminals A, B, and C; or 60 minutes at Terminal E, at no extra charge.

An additional $30/hour fee will be charged, should the flight time be delayed by more than 1 hour.  The applicable period begins from the first announced delay time by the airline.  After a 2-hour delay from initial pickup time, client must contact Commonwealth Coach of Boston to reschedule pickup, unless it is an authorized Devoted Service.

*Devoted Service for Logan pickups is based upon $30/hour from initial ETA until actual arrival.

Meet & Greet

There is a $50 surcharge for "Meet & Greet" service, upon request.

Holidays

There is a $25 charge for travel on the day of or the day prior to the following holidays: Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.  There is a $25 charge for travel on Patriots Day, but not the day prior.  There is a $25 charge for travel on the day of and the two days prior to Thanksgiving.

Cancellations: All cancellations for in-town reservations must be made 2 hours in advance.  For out-of-town reservations, a 3 hour notice is required.  A charge equal to the proposed trip cost plus a 20% service fee will apply for improper cancellations and any incurred waiting time in case of a No-Show.  However, any cancellations made less than 2 hours before the scheduled pickup time will be subject to a fee equal to the proposed trip cost plus a 20% service fee.  A No-Show fee equal to the proposed trip cost, including applicable waiting time, plus a 20% service fee is billed when the passenger fails to show at the designated location.  If the client cannot locate the sedan, he/she should call (617) 935-3426 before seeking alternative transportation, to avoid a No-Show charge.
